Spoffin, the international festival for professional outdoor theater in Amersfoort (NL) has received the EFFE Label 2019 - 2020, Europe’s quality stamp for remarkable arts festivals showing their engagement in the field of the arts, community involvement and international openness. The festival is also in the running for the EFFE Awards, on which the EFFE International Jury will decide later this year.
EFFE (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe) is an initiative by the European Festivals Association (EFA), supported by the European Commission and Parliament. The Label is given for outstanding and innovative approaches.
EFA’s mission is to unite and represent its member festivals across Europe and the world by contributing to the artistic life of Europe. It acts as the most important platform for arts festivals. By supporting and enabling artistic creation, production and participation, EFA and its members ensure that the right to access culture is made a reality for all citizens. Interaction between festivals, with public authorities and the other stakeholders in the arts are central to EFA's work.
Spoffin offers every last weekend of August three days of outdoor theater, dance, circus and street arts. This year, the 10th edition is held from 23 - 25 August.
