A man drags his companion around like a rag doll. A 70 kilo body tied to him. On the road and lost, they look for a way out where the rag doll serves as a living Swiss army knife. Tap his head and water comes out or climb him as a watchtower when looking for the way. But what if your companion suddenly no longer wants to continue?
'It really hurts when your head hits the concrete' humorously and poetically embodies how we all have a history. In this performance, DeRonde/Deroo zooms in on the physical internal monologue of a man and his reluctant companion. You are immersed in an absurd world in which the weight you carry with you is depicted. Expect an iconoclasm that reads like a poem and takes you past acrobatic virtuoso highlights.
DeRonde/Deroo merges magic and reality and lets the viewer drift away into a timeless absurd universe. They appeal to the naive child within you through wonder and move the adult within you by asking the question through our bodies: what have you been carrying with you all this time?
