Spoffin receives EFFE Label 2017 - 2018
14-04-2017 Dutch street arts festival Spoffin has been selected to receive the EFFE Label 2017-2018. Spoffin is now part of the EFFE festival community, facilitated by the European Festivals Association, which consists of festivals that stand for artistic quality and have a significant impact at local, national and international level.
Artistic director Alfred Konijnenbelt: ‘We work hard and we are ambitious. It's an honour to receive the Label again and I am confident this award will help us realise our plans to bring Spoffin to a higher level, step by step.'
'We are now working with festivals elsewhere in Europe to develop a circuit to support young artists: from artistic plan to premiere. In our own country we want to develop the same circuit, with our colleagues in the Association of Outdoor Theatre Festivals Netherlands. We want to provide a boost to high-quality outdoor theatre. Everybody will profit: the public, the festivals and the artists.’
