Artists and performers call out

Severine de Maleingreau, also know as Sevesfeathers, is looking for performers to join her in her project In the City Still, which is selected to be in the Lab Residency at Festival Spoffin 2018 in Amersfoort (NL) this August.

PROJECT: To develop a new site-specific promenade performance for the streets of Amersfoort, creating strictly non-spoken imagery through movement, acrobatics, dance and theatre with a view to provoking the audience's thoughts, changing their outlook on urban spaces and inspiring a sense of poetic wonder.

PERFORMERS/ARTISTS: Acrobats, Dancers, Mimes, Contortionists. No object manipulation.
A background in street performance, theatre, physical theatre, music (especially percussion) or clowning is a plus. Strong stage presence and capacity to engage with the audience in non-verbal ways, adaptability, improvisation skills, enjoying working with others, able to take directions, capacity to perform with others or solo.

DATES/PLACE: From Monday August 13 to Monday August 27 in Amersfoort (NL).

- A brief introduction of yourself as an artist/performer
- How you think you can contribute to the aesthetics of the project In the City Still
- A YouTube link to a video of your latest work (performance or demo)
- Confirmation of your full availability for ONE of the two workshops in Dublin (City Centre):
Saturday May 26 (2-6 pm) OR Saturday June 2 (2-6 pm).

The workshops will involve exploring urban spaces with various solo and group-based tasks with a view to developing an original movement/expression style and aesthetics. No props (except percussion). No need to prepare anything for the workshop although some thoughts on what your specific movement practice can contribute to is greatly encouraged.

TERMS of RESIDENCY: Free accommodation for the entire 2-week residency (3 performers max),
free access to training space, travel expenses partly covered, support in advertisement, international showcase and networking opportunities, performances during the Spoffin Festival,
100% of the income from the hat, possibility to have the show booked to tour further afield.
